Gosh Emily West not only looks like Taylor Swift in that photo but she is also doing her best to sound like her too! Yikes! (lol) Its nice to hear that Emily has learned she doesn't need to belt out songs like a Broadway performer. The new songs aren't country, but it is top notch pop music. Come to think of it none of the songs on her advance debut album were country either. Its nice to hear what Emily can sound like apart from the Nashville Music Machine apparatus.

I noticed the JaneDear Girls on the gazebo stage during "Hart of Dixie". Normally the show features better pop-country music than that! Oh well...

Nice article on The McClymonts. If the gals never get a hit on Top 40 AirHead Country Radio here in the States, the chance of any kind of financial success here is slim to none. Its nice their music sales down under will at least allow them to buy return flight tickets to Australia if and when the time comes.

It's a wonder to me that anyone signs with Curb any more. Artist after artist leaves (or tries to, in McGraw's case) and badmouths them to the sky. You never hear a good word about them. Yet acts do still sign up.

I remember seeing the McClymonts perform at CMA Fest in 2010 - they're right when they say that one of their strengths!

They thoroughly deserved that Global Country Artist award. Does the award have nominees, or is one act just announced as the winner?

Is anybody taking bets on McGraw vs. Curb?

I've never bought a Tim McGraw album in my life and probably never will, so I have no dog in the fight.

But Curb just strikes me as some sort of legal bully/extortionist, using the most ridiculous and transparent tricks to bind an artist to him in perpetuity.

I've got to think McGraw will finally take him down.
