A quick note: I just dropped by AOL's "The Boot" and they have been posting real-time new entries about the country, Americana, and folk artists who have been winning awards at the Grammy's! Now The Boot doesn't normally post many new articles on the weekends, so this shows how excited they are about The Grammy's! (lol) Since Taylor Swift is a winner, I'm glad I didn't tune in! (lol)

A fantastic read Holly! I'm not sure the Grammy's are worthy of such thoughtful analysis, but your perceptions are well appreciated nonetheless. I have to admit I have no idea who or what a Bon Iver is, but I'll take your word that they are out of the ordinary.

Hey, is anyone doing a live blog of the Grammy's? The live blogs are about the only thing related to major TV network sponsored music awards shows of any type I pay attention to. Unlike say the Americana and IBMA Awards Shows where I try to catch as many online feeds as I can...

Hello, Holly Gleason! I think I like you.

A most lively, entertaining and thoughtful read. Can't wait to see more. And just when I thought the Engine 145 crew couldn't possibly get any more awesome!

Nice article.

Actually, there's still an Americana Grammy and Contemporary Folk is one of the categories that got eliminated. Traditional Folk and Comtemporary Folk got merged into the Folk category.
