on Saturday night’s Opry the amazing gal who plays lead fiddle in Patty Loveless’ band joined Mike Snider’s group for an instrumental called St. Mary’s Reel(?).

Probably Carmella Ramsey, probably "Saint Anne's Reel."

I might have to check out that Civil Wars track. I've been searching for just one song of their's to really like so far, and this may finally be the one! (lol)

I saw The Chieftains in concert a few years back because Allison Moorer was performing with them. Sadly she only sang vocals on three songs and the rest of the concert put me to sleep.

Speaking of top notch celtic music, on Saturday night's Opry the amazing gal who plays lead fiddle in Patty Loveless' band joined Mike Snider's group for an instrumental called St. Mary's Reel(?). There were four fiddles playing in all and it was among the best things I've ever heard from the Opry stage! Talk about music making you want to get up and dance an Irish jig...
