Congratulations to Sunny Sweeney on her recent marriage to her Texas sweetheart! Since he is a policeman, any potential Sunny stalkers better beware! (lol) “Dring Myself Single” is currently at # 43 on the Mediabase chart after being at # 41 last week. Hopefully it will pick up some momentum soon and be the big hit it deserves to be. Go Sunny!
Amy Dalley has some good news! After releasing a recent indie album a small label has decided to bring her on board. Here’s the scoop from Amy’s email:
“Hey music lovers!!! Something SO exciting has just happened! I cannot wait to share!!! As most of you know my album COMING OUT OF THE PAIN was released on August 30th 2011 through Cdbaby.com. The sales have been going great (thank you!!!) but the album has also caught the eye and ear of a team of people that can help me get this whole thing jacked up a new level or two!!! YAY!!!!
I have just signed a deal with Rock Ridge Records. check them out at http://www.rockridgemusic.com (you will find my little ol name right there in the artist section) they have some really cool bands on their roster~~~
The “plan” (and thank goodness there IS a PLAN) is to take the album as it is off the shelves and off the internet in a couple of weeks. Then we are gonna put a couple more songs on the album and RE release it under the Rock Ridge label…we are thinking March. :)
SO…if you haven’t had a chance to get COMING OUT OF THE PAIN, get it now, in it’s original form :) cause time is short for it as it is now. The NEW coming out of the pain will have 12 or 13 songs on it.
Are you with me on this? I am SO pumped!!! It is the best thing that could have possibly happened to this little album that could :)) Thank you so much for your support and your notes of encouragement and your cheers and email hugs! you guys are the BEST!!!!
THANKS SO MUCH!!! feel free to contact me at madsongs@aol.com :)”
So, do you think Amy sounds pumped or what? (lol)
Darn, its too bad Peter Cooper didn’t sit down with the Phelps Brothers instead to talk about their music and short career. Oh well…
Opry Alert! Tonight’s Opry is gonna be a good’un! Featured artists include Daily & Vincent, Josh Turner, James Otto, Randy Houser, Heidi Newfield, and only 2 Opry Legends! Grade: A!

I looked at the Patty Griffin / Robert Plan link out of curiosity and found this little tidbit added to the end of the article: “Meanwhile, singer Peter Wolf joined Shelby Lynne for a few tunes at her show at Johnny D’s this week.” Now that is a pairing I’d love to see perform out here in Los Angeles some day. Oh well…

Gosh, I’ve got a thread to myself! I need to post something that will piss off Jon W….
According to The Boot Sherrie Austin’s new album “Circus Girl” is also being released today and they’ve been giving her a good bit of coverage. Its good to read Sherrie is back in the game after 8 years since “Streets Of Heaven”. You Go Girl!

The Sherrie Austin record is really good. She’s still got one of the best voices in the business.
