I’ll still be checking the first episode out, but the more I hear about ABC’s “Nashville” show the less hope I have for it. I really hope I’m wrong because Connie Britton and Powers Boothe are both great actors.

“Classic Country” Opry Alert! Yes, the short fall season of the best Opry shows kicks off tonight. Tonight’s show will feature Jim Glaser (hey where’s Tompall?), John Conlee, Mandy “the Mangler” Barnett, T.G. Sheppard, Rhonda Vincent, and the spotlight artist Crystal Gayle. Imagine that, an Opry show devoid of “Opry Legends”! WooHoo! (lol)

So the Country Music Songwriters Hall of Fame wasn’t a section of the CMHOF? That’s just ridiculous! Without the songwriters there would be no CMHOF! Crikey mate.

That Big Machine label tie in to ABC’s new Nashville series makes me a bit apprehensive. I wonder if Big Machine artists will get cameo’s on the program? Hmm..

So now there are Americana bands named Della Mae (on next week’s MCR) and Delta Rae? I think they should tour together just for the confusion factor alone.
