Tonight's Music City Roots show features: The McCrary Sisters, The Carter Brothers, Nash Street, Paul Kramer and Swing Street, and Stephanie Taylor and the Boxty(?) Bluegrass Band. Can't say I've ever heard of any of them before, but for free who cares! (lol)

I wish Martina McBride's next single would be "I'm Saying Goodbye" (to mainstream country music)...

This needs to be the year WSM starts broadcasting those Bluegrass Nights from the Ryman!!! They would be soooo much more enjoyable than the average Grand Ole Opry show are these days. Crikey, mate!

Oh great CMT wants to focus on Roots Music so they can muck that up too. I hope Alison Bonaguro is a participant on the CMT Edge Blog to provide comic relief.

I can totally get on board with McBride's new single choice. I was never a huge fan of the Train original, but the duet reworking in very interesting, and I really like it. I'll be curious to see what sort of radio reception it gets.
