Memo to those funding a project with Kickstarter: Send me updates on the project after it has been funded (like Ray Benson is doing now) and I’ll be much more likely to support future projects of yours.

Kickstarter is a grass roots deal and if fans want to support the project of an artist they like great! Frankly, I don’t see what difference it makes who the artists is. For the record saving country music is a good blog that I enjoy as is this one. I just do not see how kickstarter projects from any artist should be a point of contention.

I don’t know, but I get the feeling that your attempt to make peace with Ray Benson–”I sincerely apologize but I stand behind what I said 100%”–is going to rile him up even more than he was before.
You probably shouldn’t be planning on walking up to Ray at some pubic function and saying “Hi, I’m Saving Country Music!”

What, are you going to represent yourself as Ray Benson’s financial manager? Because that’s the only way you could reasonably stand behind a comment on his financial status. And blaming your unpleasantness on Kickstarter is a nice touch. Sheesh.
