Glad to see Rodney Hayden’s album get mentioned. I’m a sucker for cowboy songs. He has the entire thing up on his website for anyone interested in giving it a listen.

I like the fact Juli’s blog looks almost exactly like The 9513! Hey, when you’ve found a great formula, why mess with it?

What was a label named “Rural Rhythm Records” doing here in Los Angeles anyway? “Jam Packed Freeway HipHop Records” maybe, but there are no rural rhythms around her! (well except for Topanga Canyon sort of)

I’m going to Best Buy to purchase Ashton Shepherd’s new CD on principle even if I don’t listen to it much. I just want to support those rare releases of “real” country music from mainstream Nashville labels. I’m down to doing this once or twice a year nowadays…

I heard Joe Pug on “A Prairie Home Companion” recently and, well, its not a style of music I care for.

How long until Cheyenne Kimball starts recording a solo mainstream country album? I’d say within a month or two as that gal seems to have a lot of drive and ambition.
