Just a quick note: There was a gal I had never heard of before on Music City Roots tonight named Amy Black who is quite good! Its not very often MCR features acts I'm unfamiliar with that really catch my ear, but Amy's got the knack. Her vocals sound a bit like Jennifer Nettlesome without all of the annoying affectations and histrionics, and her face slightly reminds me of Melissa Etheridge. I'm gonna keep an ear out for this gal.

PS - Amy lives in Boston and tours mostly in the northeast close to home. She definitely needs to come to McCabe's Guitar Shop in Santa Monica! I'll have to see what I can do about that...(lol)

Speaking of both country duets and Elizabeth Cook, when is Elizabeth going to do a traditional duets record? I think Jeff Bates would be a fitting male counterpart for such a venture.

I think Daily & Vincent should have chosen Molly Kate Cherryholmes instead, or better yet invited her to tag along too! What bluegrass music truly needs is a lot more Texas style twin fiddle playin', something the Cherryholmes band excelled at!

So Luke Bryan likes zombies eh? Well that explains the affection he has towards his loyal fan base. What makes a doughnut Canadian anyway? Do they make the dough with Labatt's beer and fry them in the left over grease from grilling up back bacon, eh?

Yes, the Carey/Cockrell album is definitely full of stunning duets. I wish they'd do another one. Downloading the Milk Carton Kids album as I type.
