- Kathleen Edwards had to postpone the rest of her North American tour due to “symptoms of vocal strain and burnout.”
- Chet Flippo on Willie Nelson’s new record, Heroes: Maybe his songwriting pen isn’t as frenetic as it once was, but he still gets his writing licks in. And maybe his voice isn’t as strong as it once was, but he still tells the story — and sells the story. He’s still adding the occasional new original song, as well as originals from other writers and recycled older material. The thing is, I think his ear for a good song is as acute as it has ever been.

That All For The Hall concert in Nashville had quite a line-up of artists. The Hag, Pistol Annies, and Don Williams all on the same bill eh? Sounds like my kind of show.
So “Kathleen Edwards had to postpone the rest of her North American tour due to “symptoms of vocal strain…”. Ummm, how could anyone tell the difference? I think Kathleen should have invited Sarah Buxton to substitute for her on this tour…
OMG! Taylor Swift wrote a song with Justin Beiber! That is just like so totally outrageously awesome!…(lol)
I think a couple of the blurbs in the news roundup got mixed up! I think that actually its Mindy McCready’s new baby boy that has been named “Punching Bag”.

I am in full-on fingers-crossed mode that Josh Turner’s new album will be a return to the form of his first couple of releases. I’m absolutely sure he can do it, if he just has chosen the right songs.

Here’s an Amazon country freebie that seems to have been overlooked! The band is named Family Reunion and the song is titled “A Hard Man (Is Good To Find)”. Thankfully it’s sung by a female unlike on “GLEE” or “Smash”! (lol) The album artwork features cartoon characters that look like escapees from South Park, but I don’t know if there is a connection. This would be a perfect song for those female pioneers of trailer trash country “Those Darlings”…
