New Corb Lund Album Due in August; Zac Brown Band to Play Home Run Derby; Stream The Last Ride Soundtrack

  • Due out August 14: Cabin Fever from Corb Lund. The album will include “Bible on the Dash,” a co-write and duet with Hayes Carll. (via press release)

  • American Songwriter premiered a Flatlanders song, “Shadow of the Moon,” from the upcoming album The Odessa Tapes (due out 8/28), which consists of “recently discovered recordings from 1972 that were believed lost for nearly 40 years.”

  • Jason Aldean got ticketed at the beach for swimming while there were warnings posted.
  • Loretta Lynn stage banter about the recent controversy over her age: “I don’t care how old I am, if I’m 90, I still look good don’t I?” she asked to the roar of a crowd. “That’s one thing that never did bother me, you know. That things age. But last year I was feeling so guilty because I was feeling so good.”
