Funny that the Billboard writer mentions Jones working with Dolly on “Rockin Years,”–which apparently has never been released–but he doesn’t seem to know that much more recently they dueted together on Hank Jr.’s “Blues Man”, which they even released as a single and video.

I was supposed to see the Blue Sky Riders live last Friday night and they cancelled at the last minute! Crikey mate. I ‘ll just assume it was the fault of rock star Kenny Loggins and give Georgia and Gary a pass…(lol)

Thanks for the link to the results of the Golden Guitar Awards in Tamworth, Australia. I’m far more familiar with the music of the Aussie artists who won the awards than those Yanks who get nominated for the CMA’s, ACM’s, and CMT’s these days because the music they make is just plain better. Nice to see Catherine Britt win the top female artist category again and Kasey and Shane win the duo/group category, and the McClymonts win for best selling album. I can’t argue with those results!

Mindy McCready’s life story just has to be made into “Lifetime Channel Movie”!

PS – The new spring season of “Dallas” starts tonight on the TNT cable network. If only they would feature country music on a regular basis…
