I first heard Jon on the Ernest Tubb Record Shop Midnite Jamboree one night when The Wrights were being featured and they asked him to sing a song or two. I bought Jon's "Byrd's Auto Parts" CD at that time and have been enjoying it since. I will definitely have to check out this new album. I think his close friendship with Allison Moorer's first husband Butch Primm helped him connect with R.S. Field for production duties on this new project. Go Jon! I can't say I agree much with Trailer's take on the new Hank Jr. rant song, BUT I do agree completely with the comment from Anonymous and no, it was not posted by me). Finally, a kindred spirit! (lol) Jewly Hight's article on Americana acts doing well commercially was encouraging. There was recently an Avett Brothers concert in the Los Angeles area that was being advertised on classic rock radio stations but not LA's Top 40 country station! Crikey!
