Jimmy, I enjoyed this article! I especially liked what you said about some of the singers that told a story through a song. I love Coat of Many Colors as it reminded me of my Mama sewing for me. I have a granddaughter that is twelve and plays the guitar very well. I encouraged her to learn Coat of Many Colors, and she sang it for our family on Christmas. It brought tears to my eyes because of the simple, yet meaningful words. Country music is life, and I love it! Jimmy, You are doing some great work, so don’t let negative people hinder you! I’ve just recently discovered JW through his video ‘Do You Believe Me Now’ on TCN and then I saw him sing ‘Paper Angels’ on the 700 Club and was struck by his enormous heart for foster children. I absolutely love his version of ‘Sarah Smile’, too! The more I learn of him, his story, his passion, his music, his philanthropic efforts, his heart…the more I admire and respect him as a person. Thank you Mr. Morton for showcasing JW and his new album in this article. He’s a refreshing voice in this day and time. We need more people like him who are not afraid to speak out and up for what they believe in. I once heard courage described as not having fear in the face of danger but facing the danger in spite of having fear. You’re a man’s man, JW! Thank you for following your heart, leading by example, and caring for those special children and young adults who have no voice by giving your voice to raise awareness for them! May all your efforts be blessed!!

Enjoyed reading the interview. I was wrong about Jimmy Wayne. After hearing his debut song “Stay Gone”, I bought his first album and thought he’d be a big star. I thought country fans would relate to his music and his story. Obviously, it hasn’t happened. It’s been almost 4 years since his #1 hit “Do you Believe Me Now” which was 5 years after “Stay Gone”. Looks like his career is taking on a a Steve Holy pattern. Hope the new album is a big success for him.

Ken first of all I want to thank you for the amazing article on Jimmy Wayne. You did a wonderful job with it. Thanks because Jimmy needs as much coverage as possible for this great need in changing the age from 18 to 21 for all foster kids. Need to get this bill passed.Jimmy is doing all he can to help these kids. So thank you agian.

I will never get tired of hearing Jimmy’s story. I work closely with former foster children with special needs. None of the 15 kids and young adults I work with are able to speak. I only know their history by reading court documents and documentation by social workers or family member who were once care givers. I am so happy that Jimmy has given them a voice.

I have been a huge fan of his for a long time.I have meet him alot and he is a wonderful person to his fans!He always thinks of others and it shows in so many ways.He has a heart that is so big.I am blessed to know him and I admire jimmy for the walk he did and helping kids in need.The love he has for his fans is amazing!I just want to say thank you Jimmy for walking the walk holding your head up high and never giving up.You are a talented artist,but not only are you talented you are a giver.That is hard to find.He gives from his heart and I love him for it!!
