  • Craig Morgan is hosting a concert and trail ride fundraiser on 9/14 for Billy’s Place, a charity beneficiary of his Craig Morgan Dickson County Educational Foundation in Dickson, TN.
  • Little Big Town’s Tornado went platinum.
  • Taylor Swift fans are at it again, defending the young artist as a company comes out with a t-shirt listing all of her ex-boyfriends on it.
  • LIFE and Sony Music Entertainment’s Legacy Records will release “LIFE Unseen: Johnny Cash – An Illustrated Biography” on 8/13. A CD with a dozen rare Cash recordings will be released in coordination with the book. “I’d seen a lot of these photographs, but the ones I hadn’t seen before were really moving to me,” said Rosanne Cash. “They weren’t just kind of stock Johnny Cash pictures, but showed some side of him, some depth, that hadn’t really been captured before.”

So how long has WSM been airing the Thursday Night at The Ryman Bluegrass shows? Crikey! I just happened to tune into WSM last night at the start of the Dailey and Vincent show and it was awesome! (No really, it was awesome.) Item link above: “Listen to Josh Thompson’s new single, “Cold Beer with Your Name On It.” That song title sounds like something that should be featured in a mocking snarkfest “Fake News” story at “Country California” or “Saving Country Music”! Crikey mate!
