I really liked the first album because it was such a breath of fresh air. The second album where they tried to put her with all these other writers didn't turn out as well. The songs I liked best were the ones she wrote by herself. I hope she does more of her own writing on the next album. She has such a great voice for country. (lol) I can't believe anyone would claim they had anything to do with a Justin Moore song! Forget about the money guys, think about your reputation! Crikey! When Kelly Dearmore isn't focusing on that Red Dirt cra.. er I mean stuff, he can write a pretty decent piece now and then. That Kasey interview was cool, but then Kasey never does a bad interview as she just doesn't have it in her. It's not surprising Ashton Shepherd was let go by her label after the "Look It Up" single didn't do as well as needed on AirHead Country Radio. In fact I was kind of surprised they recorded a second album at all. I do hope Ashton gets picked up by a small label that can help her realize her musical potential. This development, when combined with Kellie Pickler's recent label separation, even further dims the chances tradition oriented country female artists will get airplay at Top 40 radio.
