(lol) I would love to hear what Jean Shepard has to say about Rose Maddox. Also, having Lorrie Collins there is too cool. The Collins Kids should have focused far more on country music rather than rockabilly and they might have had greater success and longevity. Their song "They're Still In Love" is top shelf by any standard. They are mostly an unknown/forgotten act these days so I'm glad Bear Family put out a neat compilation album of their better songs. And I' plan to be at that "Women of West Coast Country" event, so at least I can report on it later. It's possible it will be streamed after the fact, as the Hall often does, but I don't know that to be the case as of now.. And then he kind of tired of the whole thing and decided to tell the rest of country music history from memory--and whatever popped into his head--including the made-up fact that Elvis got "You Were Always On My Mind" from Willie! Oh, and the guy wrote this opus a dozen or so years ago and MusicRadar decided to post it now. In this case, I have to agree that it's "something else."
