Angela and I both played in Tony Watt's band at a late night showcase at IBMA's World of Bluegrass earlier this week, so I had a chance to chat with her a little bit about the personnel changes. She's pretty excited to have Megan working with them. And at the same time, I know Nora Jane's pumped to get her solo career front and center again. It's a winning situation for everyone, except, I guess, for Rick. They’ll probably get over it before you will ;-).

Trace commented it was one of the highlights of his singing career. When the Loretta Opry was first announced here I commented that I hoped the Pistol Annies would cover "Fist City" and they did! (lol) So King George is finally gonna hang up his touring hat after a few decades in the spotlight and all those miles on the road eh? I can't imagine why... Music City Roots is taking another break and won't be back until October 10th! Don't they know they are causing me to suffer Americana Withdrawal symptoms!
