I was wrong for suggesting that there's anything unique, unprecedented, out-of-the-ordinary, incredible or amazing about George Strait getting his 59th #1 hit at age 60. Or was it 60th #1 at age 59? Whatever. I was wrong. And you are right. Thank you.

Yes, what a huge gap in age there is between mid- and late-50s. Why, it's incredibly amazing! Or maybe amazingly incredible.

Amazing to see George Strait have yet another #1!

What's so incredible about it is that even back in the days when mainstream country was more of a middle-aged environment, with artists having long careers, you didn't have artists near Strait's current age topping the charts.

Hank Snow and Kenny Rogers had #1 hits around age 60, but those were basically one-shots that came out of the blue. All the country legends--Eddy Arnold, Pride, Conway, Jones, Haggard, Cash, Waylon, Willie etc.--were pretty much done for (in terms of having hits) by their early-mid 50s.

So the Canadian cutie Madison Violet gals are coming to LA huh? Just might have to mosey on down to the Hotel Cafe to catch their short set (each act get about 50 minutes execpt for the closer).

I sooooooo don't grasp the appeal of Darrell Scott! Must be a liberal mindwarp thing...

No online Music City Roots shows for this and next week as they are sponsoring some location events around Nashville instead (like the East Nashville Beer Festival?). Shouldn't an East Nashville alcohol festival be celebrating cheap wine and malt liquor instead? I'm confused?

Gosh, I saw Ty Stone perform live and there was absolutely nothing even remotely "country" about his act. I'd take his list with a grain of salt the size of the great salt lake in Utah. Crikey!

It's nice to see an old timer like George Strait remain relevant in Top 40 AirHead Country Radio. It seems that in comparison Alan Jackson is losing his luster, or maybe he just doesn't care enough any more to put in the effort needed. Oh well...
