I hope the new Holly Williams album has a high quotient of “keepers” like on her last release. I consider Holly an under-appreciated talent in the Americana wilderness.

I will definitely tune into the IBMA Awards online stream this afternoon. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that Jon W. does not win that songwriter award! (lol)

Speaking of Wanda Jackson, she will be the subject of one of the CMHOF’s “Intimate Evenings” on Monday night October 8th. I am soooo thankful these programs are broadcast live on WSM AM so I can listen in and enjoy them! Go Eddie Stubbs!

Alright, where is the Engine145 review of the recently released Time Jumpers album hiding? In spite of my reservations about Vince Gill’s vocal contributions, I purchased an advance copy off FleaBay and it thankfully exceeded all of my expectations! Dawn Sears makes a nice duet/harmony singer with Vince that helps to save the day. Its nice to hear some great western swing coming out of Nashywood these days and not just Texas and Oklahoma. Rick’s Rating: 4 Stars Out of 5. Thank you Rounder for releasing this album.

“I purchased an ‘advance copy’ off FleaBay and it thankfully exceeded all of my expectations!”
Too bad the band, songwriters, label, publishers will get none of the money from that sale.
