On the bluegrass side I just remembered the classic wedding bell blues weeper “I Cried Again”. This song has been recorded numerous times but I like the Jim and Jesse McReynolds version the best!

Someone took this old classic and changed the lyrics to make it a humorous drinking song titled “Here I Am I’m Drunk Again”, which is on a Moe Bandy live album. Maybe this is the follow up to what happens after the reception…

The Ashley Monroe / Pistol Annie’s song “Beige” doesn’t make the future of that marriage sound all that promising.

I love that Marty Robbins song “Just Married”! Its nice to see that old gem mentioned anywhere these days.

My favorite wedding song is Hank Penny’s “White Shotguns”, although Tennessee Ernie Ford is headed to the altar in “Shotgun Boogie” once his bride to be’s Pappy’s runs out of shells! Seems like hillbillies and shotgun weddings just go hand in hand! (lol)

How about a Faith Hill song, “Dearly Beloved”? Written by Georgia Middleman and Fred Wilhelm, it begins:
