I think this is the first time I’ve ever listened to all of the Friday five tracks due to the subject matter! Since I am a “Bean Counter” by profession, I guess that makes sense.

Eddie Cochran sounds like a cross between Jerry Lee Lewis and Little Richard in that particular song. Little David Wilkins sounds perfect for the “Urban Cowboy” era of country music but missed the boat obviously. I really like the fiddles in that Leon McAuliffe snippet as you don’t get to hear much of the steel guitar. I like hearing the CCD’s play anything and the other “Blue Plate Special” videos were equally as much fun. So was that Buck or Don Rich playing guitar on “Mexican Jumping Bean”? Buck was a fine guitar picker but preferred to let Don handle lead guitar duties for the Buckaroos.
