Exclusive Darden Smith Download and Video

darden_writingSinger-songwriter Darden Smith is a busy guy this summer: as the founder of SongwritingWith: Soldiers, a program in which veterans use songwriting as a way to help cope with PTSD, he regularly participates in the organization’s retreats, collaborating with soldiers as they turn their stories into songs. In a few weeks, he’ll start his second year as an artist in residence at Oklahoma State University’s Institute for Creativity and Innovation before launching a fall tour. Today, he releases¬†Love Calling, his first album for Compass Records. Full of top-notch songs–including half a dozen tracks co-written with folks like Foster, Gary Nicholson, and the late Harley Allen–it’s one of Smith’s best albums yet.
