A music pal in England sent me a link to an album review in The Guardian of something that sounds quite interesting! Its by a new male/female duo named "My Darling Clementine" and the album title is "How Do You Plead?". Here are the first couple sentences of the review:

"Michael Weston King sounds as if he was born at the wrong time, in the wrong place. The former leader of the British alt-country band the Good Sons, he is now joined by his partner Louise Dalgleish for an album of country duets that sound as if they were written in the 60s or 70s. It's a finely crafted tribute to the classic country duos such as Johnny Cash and June Carter or George Jones and Tammy Wynette, with all the songs written by King and Dalgleish and several sounding like lost classics."

If it's anywhere near as good as the recent DooWop album "Good Ol' Fashioned Love" by the Brit band "The Overtones", I'm in! (lol)

Linda Ronstadt and Dolly Parton made the Men’s Health 100 Hottest Women of All Time list, coming in at 93 and 92, respectively.

Does this mean Emmylou Harris is not on that list? If so, it is balderdash of the first order and not worth any man's time.

Opty alert? Hmmm...

I have got to make it to Emmylou's Opry Anniversary show. If I don't attend any other shows throughout the whole of 2012, I at least must be at that one!

Lone Star Music has released the list of their 50 best selling albums of 2011 and only two of them are by female artists! Sunny Sweeney's "Concrete" is at # 20 and the Pistol Annie's "Hell On Heels" is at # 47 and that's it! I hate to admit I have anything in common with Red Dirt music fans, but those are my two favorite female artist albums of 2011 as well. Crikey! (lol)

Opty Alert! Tonight's Opry will feature Joe Diffie, Steve Wariner, Will Hoge, and Ricky Skaggs. Grade B. Saturday night's Opry gets a whole lot more interesting and will feature Emmylou Harris, the Civil Wars, Keb Mo, Ella Mae Bowen, The Grascals, and Steve Wariner. Definitely an "E Ticket" Opry on Saturday! Grade A!
