Seeing Emmylou and Rodney together is exciting enough, but I'm also an extremely enthusiatic Richard Thompson fan and never miss him when he comes through the DC area . I'll be sitting at my computer at 10:00 am Friday when the Strathmore tickets go on sale. I have very fond memories of the Johnson Mountain Boys. They were one of the first bluegrass bands I got into after moving to the DC area from New Jersey in 1990. All thanks to WAMU's drive time Bluegrass Country radio program, which used to have Eddie as a substitute DJ sometimes (he had his own Old Time Country show on the weekend, I think). Saw a great show at the Barns of Wolf Trap in the early '90s that was titled "Blues and Bluegrass." The Johnson Mountain Boys followed by the great Piedmont blues artists Cephas and Wiggins.
