I’m really impressed with the comments made on this site. Those of you who are posting are very knowledgeable of good music and your feedback is sounds creditable. David Lee in one of the writers on this song, although his name was left off. It goes without saying that I love the song :) but totally get what each one of you had to say about “Roll With It”. I can’t wait to follow “the9513″ in the future, as music is subjective to the listener, you all posting here are fair in your reviews.

…nicely sung and played, pretty pedestrian that’s not off the mark, steve harvey. however, there’s something in the way that easton corbin delivers his songs that i haven’t heard like that before too often. it’s smooth, easy, yet not schmalzy and has an authentic feel about it. clearly, this singer has enormous star-potential.

True. But that’s no reason to lower our standards. This springs to my mind every time I read a glowing review of a new George Strait record – an artist who’s albums seem to me to be stuff with filler – just because they’re relieved to hear King George singing music that’s undeniably country.

I think we have to be careful not to overrate someone’s output just because their production and vocal style leans towards traditional country.

I think this is a pretty pedestrian song – nicely sung and played, but pretty pedestrian.

I’m glad Easton’s debut single hit # 1 as that keeps the door wide open at Top 40 mainstream country radio for his follow up singles. This song is okay and hopefully will hit the Top 20 and further expand his newly minted fan base.

Even though I no longer listen to AirHead Country radio, it is encouraging to see younger new artists with a neo-traditional sound do well at radio. I place Chris Young in this category as well and hope both of these artists garner radio airplay over the long haul. George Strait and Alan Jackson won’t be putting out new singles that radio will play forever. Now we have some new blood to fill their shoes, sort of…

This feels fairly “done before” to me – not “Summer Nights” bad, but nothing particularly clever or interesting about it. I like my fun summer songs to at least have a good hook.

That said, I’ll be pulling for it because I think Corbin does things right as an artist, and I want him to make it. I hope they realease “Can’t Love You Back” as the next single though… for my money, that’s the most cleverly written and nicely produced tune on the album.

Joey + Rory wouldn’t have had the big success that Blake and Easton had with those songs.

Rory’s songwriting career has literally bought them a farm and more. They can afford things like a tourbus as well because of things like that. Giving away a few songs that wouldn’t work for them is just fine.
