BREAKING NEWS! Yes here is Engine 145′s chance to get the scoop before CMT or AOL’s The Boot! Katy Perry has announced she wants to do a country album, although it will actually be an Americana album. By Katy’s reckoning Patty Griffin’s “Flaming Red” album is a country record(?). If Katy gets invited to be on the Opry, I’d recommend she wear that same outfit she wore on Sesame Street! (lol)

Actually rick Rebecca Lynn Howard is someone I’d think could pull off June pretty good, though can she act? I’ve never heard of her getting any roles.

I think they should have cast Rebecca Lynn Howard as June Carter Cash. She would have been a much better fit and I prefer how she sings as well.

Vince doesn’t exactly have a voice that lends itself to that bluegrass high lonesome sound. On the other hand his backing band sounds like a ripper!

I think Chet Flippo’s taste in music these days might have a bit to do with his advancing age. Good on ya Chet! Welcome to the Old Farts Club! (lol)

I’m not too sure on Jewel playing June Carter Cash. I love Jewel and she may be able to act like her, but her voice sounds completley different to me. I hope for the best but I’m kind of worried it’ll look and sound off.

I hope whatever is making The Dirt Drifters cancel their shows isn’t something that’ll break up the band as I think they have a lot of potential.

Ha ha, that’s my song “about Virginia” that’s the Stringdusters download. Well, not just mine (it was a co-write with a bandmember). And it’s not really about Virginia – but it does mention it in the chorus.

Anyhow, check it out. They do a hell of a job with it.
