I was part of a band that David "Moody Bluegrass" Harvey put together to do bluegrass versions of a number of Bee Gees songs when BMI held a reception for Barry Gibb on his arrival in Nashville a couple of years ago (http://www.bmi.com/news/entry/nashvilles_elite_offer_barry_gibb_a_warm_welcome). Can't remember if "Staying Alive" was one of the songs we worked up, though.

Considering what's happened to Jason Aldean, I'll have to tell Grant Langston to avoid beer endorsements due to his song "Shiner Bock and Vicodin"! (lol)

Thanks for the link to that fine version of "St. James Infirmary". That song has been a favorite for years and I really like the Shoot Low Sheriff version they used to offer for free on their website.

I wonder if Jamey Johnson will keep the songs to their normal length or keep in the unnecessary noodling like on "That Lonesome Song"? I vote for no noodling!

Opry Alert! Tonight's Opry will feature James Otto, Daily and Vincent, Darryl Worley, and Barry Gibb who will perform a bluegrass version of "Stayin' Alive"! (lol) Grade: B-
Schedule: http://www.opry.com/shows/ThisWeek.html
