Tonight I get to see Amanda Shires perform live at LA's tiny Mint club, and on Friday The Hot Club of Cowtown hits the tiny Boulevard Music shop in Culver City! As much as I enjoy reading about music at Engine 145, going to live shows is a whole lot more fun! Most of the time Los Angeles is pretty much a barren wasteland as far as top shelf real country and Americana concerts are concerned, but sometimes I get lucky! That reminds me, I need to check to see if the Earl Scruggs show at UCLA in November is sold out yet. Hmmm. If Texas wants to claim Tom Russell as their very own, I wouldn't mind... WooHoo!
