That picture has him standing in front of the still open Burrito King fast food joint on Sunset Blvd in Echo Park. That is fitting since most of the current LA based Americana artists mentioned in the article perform just down the street at the Grand Ole Echo free shows on Sunday afternoons (between April and September). In fact the 2011 GOE season closed with the “Gram Fest” Gram Parsons tribute show. He is definitely not a forgotten or obscure artist out he in LaLa Land.

Gosh, I just don’t understand why Hank Jr., Charlie Daniels, Darryl Worley, and Aaron Tippin aren’t part of that “Country At The White House” concert? Hmm….

I really think the Americana Festival needs to become a traveling road show each year! My nominee for the choice location in 2012 is Los Angeles! Imagine that…(lol)

How come we don’t get a “Love’em or Hate ‘em” vote on Jonny Corndawg? Crikey!
