As always, you miss the point. No, I don't lose sleep over it or pull out my hair BUT he certainly has been a singular talent.

"If there were any justice in this world..."

Of all the grave injustices extant in this world, the fact that Doc Watson has had a 50-plus year career making scores of recordings, appearing on top concert stages from the Grand Old Opry to Carnegie Hall, performed for Kings and Presidents, been awarded seven Grammy Awards and been awarded with the Natinal Medal of Arts by the President of the United States--but did not manage to become a "megastar" like the Little Rascals is not an "injustice" that has me tearing my hair out or wondering how I can go on.

If there were any justice in this world, Doc Watson would be a megastar along the lines of Rascal Flatts, Kenny Chesney or Johnny Cash. I have most of his catalog and the man simply has never made a bad recording

Consider yourself blessed to have had an opportunity to see him in live performance. I doubt another Doc Watson will be by anytime soon
