That Rosanne Cash song is beautiful. I’ve listened to it on YouTube a lot, but I can’t find it on itunes or anywhere else. I would love to be able to put it on my ultimate roadtrip CD that I am compiling – anyone know where I can find a copy of the song for purchase?

“Bernie, an upcoming movie starring Jack Black, will feature music from Miss Leslie & Her Juke-Jointers, Dale Watson, and Heybale.” Now that sounds like my kind of soundtrack album! Crikey! I’ve never been much of a fan of Jack Black’s movies, well except for Shallow Hal anyway.

I like bluegrass and I live in LA, but the Hollywood centric “Bluegrass Situation” just doesn’t interest me due to high ticket prices and use of the Largo Coronet theater. Now if it was instead held in a dive with cheap admission, I’d be in like Flynn! Ed Helms is no Jedd Clampett by a long shot.

Abigail Washburn has a pretty unique concept of what sorts of things can “connect cultures”. I consider her singing in Chinese more along the lines of outlandish, or more likley foolish behavior. Just because you can do something doesn’t mean you should…

They could have at least chosen someone who could sing. After the way she butchered Brenda Lee’s classic “I’m Sorry” I hate to think what she’ll do to Joni Mitchell’s songs.
