That CM Wilcox album list is really good. I had never heard that Ashley Monroe album before- love it. I’m seeing her name all over the place now – didn’t know she did that much writing.

I like Charlie Daniels, but picking him to replace Hank Jr. is way too obvious. Then again, they obviously wouldn’t go after Elton John. At the end of the day, I’ll still be watching it to see a football game, not a past-his-prime recording artists.

Like Rick, I’m hoping to watch “Nashville” as well as Reba’s new show but with all of the great shows on TV these days, I wonder if I’ll have the time. I may have to DVR them for future viewing.

The Canadians are coming! Well to LA in September and October at least. Corb Lund, Fred Eaglesmith, the Abrahms Brothers, and DaLa are all doing shows around Los Angeles next month and I plan on attending. It’s time to open the bottle of Labatts and sing “O Canada”! (lol)

Opry Alert! Tonight’s Opry features Elizabeth Cook, Billy Dean, The Steep Canyon Rangers, and Billy Ray Cyrus. Saturday night’s Opry will feature Heidi Newfield, Will Hoge, and Sara Evans. Grades: B+

I’m glad they archived the Americana Awards webcast. Hopefully I can skip all the stuff that doesn’t interest me with the click of the mouse.

I’m looking forward to ABC’s “Nashville” sudser. Will anyone slip up and call Hayden Panettiere “Claire Bear” on the set? Hmm…
