Billy Grammer was a fine performer, who likely thought of himself as a musician first and a singer second. That Pistol Annies interview article with Ashley Monroe by Stephen Deusner was a fun read. I think Blake has been put on notice about what might happen if he gets too far out of line! (lol)

Apart from Alan and George the rest of CMT’s Top 10 (of the Top 20) male artists of the past 20 years reminds me why I quit listening to Top 40 country radio.

Really enjoyed Suzanne O’Keeffe’s article on Mike Stinson and the LA Roots Music Scene. I’ve seen Suzanne at The Grand Ole Echo shows and Redwood Bar for years now and had no idea she was a writer and a contributor to the Huffington-Puffington Compost Pile! I guess I won’t be talking politics with Suzanne any time soon! (lol) As mentioned this Sunday is the second “Roots Roadhouse” concert at The Echoplex and I’m hoping I’ll get to be the DJ upstairs in the smaller room if the slot is available. Its a lot of music for $ 10.
