This CD is a very good recording that has some pop influence in the songs, definitely, different than their last couple of CDS. Has a smooth, almost overproduced vibe to it. Personally, my favorite Cherryholmes CD is their first, There is something Special many times, in an artists debut CD, Maybe the ride has been a bit fast and furious from them as they have been "On THe Road, Since they started". You could easily get 2 good bluegrass groups out this bunch, so many good lead singers, Only time will tell.

Juli,

Thanks for the review of this great family band. I honestly do not understand why they have not won any group awards since their first EOTY. Their talent will blow your socks off. I love how they sneak in some Celtic occasionally.

A great week. This album and I just heard Don Williams is coming out of retirement for some limited dates. There is hope yet!!!!!

The Cherryhomles family performed many of these songs recently on a live "Music City Roots" show on WSM and I wasn't overly impressed as the song styles strayed all over the place. I'd name the album "Mish-Mash". It was also announced that both B.J. and Skip are now engaged to be married and Jere's not so sure about the band's long term future due to that development.

I am a big fan of Cia Leigh and think the Rhonda Vincent comparison is fitting. If this family band does dis-band I forsee Cia leading a very successful bluegrass band on her own. With her vocal ability and songwriting talent, Cia is a force to be reckoned with!
