I thought Ralph Stanley's A Mother's Prayer was a very nice one.

I'm glad to see Sierra Hull and Donna Ulissse score so high up on this list. Good stuff. I've definitely got to track down a copy of that Gibson Brothers CD at some point.

For folks who like the old time zaniness of the Dezurik Sisters (stage name "The Cackle Sisters") as presented by Nell Robinson as 1/2 of the Henriettas, be sure to check out the Teresa James version of "Arizona Yodeler". Its not near as over the top as the Henrietta's approach which works in its favor as far as broader listener appeal is concerned.

I've been enjoying the Thile and Daves album too, as well as Ricky Skaggs. The AKUS album wasn't quite what I'd hoped, but it does have its share of great moments.

I only own the Martin/Steep Canyon Rangers and the AKUS disc, and really enjoy both of them. Looking forward to checking out some others on the list, especially Farewell Drifters, Cumberland River, and the Thile collab.

I might quarrel with the order, but that's a fine list. Now I'm off to iTunes to plug the holes in my collection.
